American composer & pianist, raised in rural Alabama. 

first trained as a pianist and studied at the Eastman School of Music under Barry Snyder. 

as a pianist, he has performed throughout the US and Europe. 

after moving to Berlin in 2016, he began his work as a composer. 

since then his works have been performed in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Norway, Finland, and the US. 

he currently resides in Graz, Austria, where he has studied composition with Klaus Lang and Franck Bedrossian.

his work is focused on the poetry of music-making and listening, primarily through a preoccupation with pitch / harmony and form / time.

he has also learned from Jürg Frey, Francesca Verunelli, Marco Stroppa, Ramon Humet, Isabel Mundry, Florian Geßler, Clemens Nachtmann, and Han-Gyeol Lie.
